Palm oil as a lubricant

We recently heard of tests which had been carried out jointly by Tsubakimoto Chain Company of Osaka, Japan and Syarikat Union Motor Supply, Kuala Lumpur (local agent for Tsubaki products) on the use of crude palm oil as a lubricant for chains. Although crude palm oil may have limited uses as a lubricant we are giving details fo these tests as they will be of interest to engineers.
