Glimpses of Occupational and Health Act 1994 (OSHA) Part 2: Creating a Permit to Work (PTW)

The concept of issuing permits to work or PTW for authorising the maintenance crew to carry out their work in a palm oil mill is indeed overdue. There are provisions in place for providing relief measures to affected workers after an accident takes place in the form of compensations. But the focus should be to prevent an accident rather than monetary compensations after an accident occurs.
