In designing a palm oil mill biomass based grid connected power station, the prevailing design thinking has to give way to a different concept in order to avoid the possibility of making costly errors. The common mistakes among others generally stem from the wrong selection of boiler pressure, turbine exhaust vacuum and fuel treatment, storage and handling.
