MPOB organized a dialogue session with the palm oil industry and the stakeholders in order to get their feedback on the potential of utilizing palm oil mill effluent-based (POME) biogas for either power generation or other clean development mechanism (CDM) related uses. Various ways of using biogas were presented to the participants of the session and their valuable feedback were conveyed to the ministry. The response was overwhelming and participants were very active during the dialogue session.
