Smart Palm Oil Mill: Successful Public- Private Cooperation for Efficient and Sustainable Industry

The palm oil industry is an important pillar of the Malaysian economy, creating numerous jobs and making a significant contribution to the nation’s gross domestic product (GDP) (Nambiappan et al., 2018; Zulqarnain et al., 2020). However, with rapid technological advancements and increasing environmental challenges globally, the industry needs to embrace change to maintain its competitive advantage and sustainability. As the world becomes more interconnected and technologically advanced, the demand for more efficient, sustainable, and environmentally friendly methods of producing palm oil is increasing.
