Requirement of Food Analyst at the Palm Oil Mills Under the Food Analyst Act 2011
Yeoh Chee Beng*; Farah Khuwailah Ahmad Bustamam*; Najwa Sulaiman*; Azmil Haizam Ahmad Tarmizi* and Rosidah Radzian*

Palm oil sector is one of the most prominent economic revenue for Malaysia, evidenced by high dependency of palm oil exportation of almost 90% from the total production (Ghulam Kadir, 2020). As the second world’s largest producers of palm oil, the compliance of the Malaysian palm oil industry with the food safety legislations and quality standards is of importance to sustain our palm oil market by taking into account that 85% of our palm oil production is channelled for food applications. Inability to comply with the food safety and quality requirements will not only tarnish the image of the country, but could also affect our national income.
