ROHAYA Mohd Halim , RAZALI Ismail , TAN Yew Ai

In 1997/1998, PORIM conducted a nationwide survey to assess the quality of crude palm oil (CPO) produced by the mills in Malaysia. In this survey, the copper content was observed to be higher than during the previous survey. Thus, an investigation was carried out to determine the source of copper pick-up, so that preventive measures can be initiated to arrest the unwelcome trend. This preliminary findings highlights the likely sources of copper pick-up.
