I am sure everyone in the palm oil industry will agree that the research report known as the Mongana Report is a treasure house of knowledge for the palm oil millers. A number of research scien­tists were involved in comprehensive research on most aspects of oil and kernel extraction tech­niques and the findings published in 1953 still stands out w hout much challenge. All the palm oil mill engineers who attended the diploma course in milling technology and management will certainly have a copy of the Mongana Report. But when a problem arises in the mill, whether the millers refer to this report is another question.
